PATNA: In Bihar, gangs of robbers have stolen the train engine and sold it little by little. At another place, the removal of a railway iron bridge by “Abbes” has caused a shock.

Thieves usually use different styles of theft. We have heard of people pretending to be passengers and stealing even in trains. In Bihar, a gang has stolen a train engine that has caused surprise and shock.

When the police arrested and interrogated a gang of three people who were involved in theft, this incident turned the police upside down.

The gang has taken apart a diesel engine which was parked at Karhara railway station in Bihar’s Paravuni. The heist was staged through a disused tunnel near the railway station.

Police investigation revealed that he had sold the stolen locomotives to a second-hand shop in Muzaffarpur Pratap Shoe Store. Police seized 13 engine items from there.

Similarly, another interesting incident took place in Burnia district of Bihar. An old steam locomotive is parked at the railway station for public viewing. A railway engineer working in the same station has sold the locomotive to someone through fake letter and documents.

Even more interesting than the above two incidents is a theft incident in the same Bihar. They were not a train robbery gang but a gang that stole the railway bridge itself. Baldania railway bridge in Raniganj district has been in operation for the past 45 years. Last April, a gang looted the steel items one by one from this bridge, which is made of around 500 tons of iron.

Some have stolen steel by pretending to repair the bridge. After the bridge became weak, the Porbusganj police have registered a case against the mysterious gang and are searching the web. Apart from that, a constable has been deputed to guard the bridge.
