The Department of Education, Linguistic Policy and Culture of the Basque Government has launched a call for grants to encourage creative projects to make screenplays. A total of 104,000 euros will be distributed to support 8 selected projects. Of these, four will be in Basque, and the rest in Spanish. Proposals can be submitted until February 13.

As stated in the invitation, the participant will not be able to participate if he has received another aid with the same purpose from a public institution. Also, only one grant has been given for each person or applicant. On the other hand, in connection with this, the applicant can only submit to one modality.

Among others, the modalities are theater texts, cinematographic scripts, musical compositions, Basque literary texts aimed at young people, short stories and novels and choreography.

With regard to the method of payment of the grant of the call, 75%, after the awarding decision and 13.a). It will be paid after the period established in the article. According to that article, if the beneficiaries do not expressly refuse within fifteen days of receiving the notification indicating that they have been granted financial aid, it will be considered that they have accepted it.

The remaining 25% of the grant will be paid after the subsidized creative work has been submitted and registered in the Intellectual Property Registry.

For example, in the case of creative works for the theater, together with the application, among other things, the artistic career of the writer, a summary sheet of the proposal, a synopsis of the plot (maximum of 5 pages), dramaturgical treatment (maximum of 10 pages), an explanatory memorandum and a gender perspective an explanatory memorandum must be submitted.
