Yesterday (Tuesday), the Toyota company launched its strategic electric sedan in China, which should provide a direct response to the Tesla Model 3. The car, bZ3, is 4.72 m long, 1.83 m wide and it stands on a 2.88 m long wheelbase. Relatively low weight, about 1.8 tons, and is characterized by an advanced aerodynamic design to reduce wind resistance.

The car uses electric motors and batteries from the Chinese BYD and is initially offered in a base version with 183 hp or an upgraded version with 244 hp. A performance version will also be offered later.
The range should be over 600 km in the Chinese standard, which translates to about 500 km in the European standard. In the first phase, the car is intended for the Chinese market only and is manufactured in China, but in the second half of next year an “international” version will probably be launched as well.
