by time news

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has banned sports journalist Boria Majumdar for allegedly threatening Indian wicketkeeper Wriddhiman Saha. The ban will last for two years. A three-member committee comprising BCCI vice-president Rajiv Shukla, treasurer Arun Dhumal and councilor Prabhtej Singh Bhatia found Boria guilty.

Boria will not be allowed to interview and report on cricket with registered players while the ban remains in place. Players will be instructed not to cooperate with him. The controversy started when Wriddhiman Saha revealed that Boria had abused him for not giving an interview. Boria alleged that Saha distorted his chats and forged screenshots.
