Mani Ratnam’s dream project Ponniyin Selvan is a film that is being eagerly awaited by Indian film lovers across language boundaries. Poniyin Selvan, which is being prepared with an investment of 500 crores, will be released in two parts. The first part will release in theaters worldwide on September 30. The character sketches and looks of the characters in the film, which has a huge cast of stars, got a lot of attention from the audience. The makers released the first look posters of Vikram and Karthi the other day. Now the look of Aishwarya Rai, who plays an important role in the film, is out.
Aishwarya’s character is Nandini, the queen of Pazuvur belonging to the Chola Empire. The caption on the first look says, Revenge has a beautiful face. The film stars Jayaram, Vikram, Aishwarya Rai, Jayam Ravi, Prakash Raj, Karthi, Trisha, Sarath Kumar, Parthipan, Lal, Prabhu, Riaz Khan, Kishore, Vikram Prabhu, Rahman and others.
Based on Kalki Krishnamurthy’s novel of the same name, the film belongs to the epic historical drama genre. Produced by Madras Talkies and Laika Productions, Mani Ratnam and Kumaravel are writing the screenplay and Jayamohan is writing the dialogues. Music by AR Rahman. Cinematography by Ravi Varman. Art direction is by Thota Dharani and Wasim Khan. Editing by Sreekar Prasad, Action Choreography by Shyam Kaushal, Dance Direction by Brinda and Costume Design by Eka Lakhani. The film will be released in Tamil, Malayalam, Telugu, Kannada and Hindi languages.
