At the beginning of the week, the air will gradually warm up, with the air temperature rising up to +20…+24 degrees in some parts of the country, but this will change in the middle of the week, when cooler air will flow into the territory of Latvia again. It will rain at times during the week, but mostly the precipitation will be light. As atmospheric pressure changes more rapidly, the wind will increase in the second half of the week.
On Monday, the clouds will part only in places, allowing the sun to shine. The weather will be mostly dry, during the day only some places, mainly in the south of the country, can expect a little rain. A slow to moderate southerly wind will blow, which will contribute to the formation of fog in some areas during the night hours. The night will be relatively warm, the air will not cool down more than +4…+10 degrees, and during the day the air temperature will rise to +10…+17 degrees.
On Tuesday and Wednesday, the weather will not differ significantly – the clouds will mix with the sun, sometimes it will rain, on Tuesday there is even a possibility of a thunderstorm in the east of the country. On Wednesday, the wind will turn from the southwest, west and gradually increase in strength, becoming more gusty. A warmer air mass will flow in during these days – if the air temperature on Tuesday night remains the same as the previous night, then on Wednesday it will mostly be within +8…+13 degrees. It will also be significantly warmer during daylight hours, when the thermometer will rise to +17…+22 degrees in many places, even approaching the +25 degree mark in some places. In some places on the coast of Kurzeme, the air will not warm up more than +8…+13 degrees, therefore large temperature contrasts will be observed in the territory of Latvia during the day.
The second half of the week will bring changes in the weather. The thermometer will reach the +15 degree mark only in places, and it will also become windier, so the felt temperature will be even lower.
