jpnn.comPEKANBARU – The advocacy team for candidates for Governor and Deputy Governor of Riau Abdul Wahid-SF Hariyanto reported the alleged involvement of state civil servants (ASN) in intervening with school principals to collect money for the 2024 regional elections.
The candidate pair advocacy team with the slogan Bermarwah or ‘Together Building Riau Abdul Wahid-SF Hariyanto’ visited the Riau Regional Police’s Criminal Investigation Directorate on Friday 27 September 2024.
His arrival was aimed at reporting indications of the alleged involvement of ASN individuals in Riau who were suspected of coordinating and contacting service heads to support certain candidate pairs.
Megawati, the lawyer who leads the Bermarwah Advocacy Team, said that her party discovered allegations of collecting funds from principals of senior high schools (SMA) in Riau.
The collection of money is suspected to be for activities that lead to allegations of money politics with a structured, systematic and massive (TSM) system to support one of the candidates in the Riau gubernatorial election.
“Yes, today we from the Marwah Advocacy Team submitted a complaint report to the Riau Regional Police regarding allegations that ASN provided support which could be called TSM,” said Megawati.
Megawati emphasized that the efforts they were making were considered important to maintain the neutrality of ASN and avoid irregularities in the stages of the democratic party in Lancang Kuning.
“We have evidence in the form of proof of transfers which are suspected to be for the benefit of one of the candidate pairs. “Later the proof can be proven here by law enforcement officials,” said Megawati.
