The Roadsurfer team offers us five route options to enjoy the May Bank Holiday ‘with the house on your back’. And it is that, whether to enjoy a plan outdoors with friends, family or participate in a competition, traveling with a camper is a perfect formula to start an adventure. You can even carpool with pets.
The first place would be to go to the Costa Brava. Cadaqués, Roses, Figueres, Girona, Tossa de Mar… The list of recommended places along the Costa Brava is innumerable. Ideally, and to enjoy each of these enclaves, it would be necessary to have at least one day for each of them. Calella de Palafrugell, Llafranc or Tamariu are other locations to take into account on our route along the Costa Brava.
History south of Madrid. With the Tagus River as its thread, the south of Madrid presents some fabulous routes to enjoy the surroundings and escape the bustle of the capital. Historical heritage, high-quality local raw materials or evocative landscapes are some of the attractions of this route from the Royal Site of Aranjuez to Fuentidueña; passing through Colmenar de la Oreja, Chinchón, Belmonte, Villaconejos, Villamanrique and Villarejo de Salvanés.
If there is a movie (or series) place in Spain for campervan lovers, it is San Juan de Gaztelugatxe. This dream islet in Bermeo (Vizcaya) is one of the Game of Thrones enclaves to set the scene for its adventures and betrayals. We refer to Rocadragon, the house of the Targaryens, Daenery’s family. From here we can continue to the historic Gernika and continue towards the charming fishing village of Lekeitio.
Between Seville and Huelva. The routes to enjoy our camper in Andalusia are innumerable and difficult to choose. On this occasion, we opted for the Sierra de Aracena, one of the most special places in the community between Seville and Huelva. Charming towns, meadows and mountains are some of the attractions of the area. Essential: enjoy the views from the Alto de Bujo viewpoint.
Or Mediterranean forests. Waking up every day among lush black and red pine forests, and the aroma of nature in its purest state. Irresistible, right? So this is the route between the Castellon districts of Els Ports and El Baix Maestrat, crossing the villages of Bel, Ballestar, Boixar, Castell de Cabres, Coratxà, Fredes and La Pobla de Benifassà.
