The best movies come from Kerala; Anurag Kashyap

Bollywood director Anurag Kashyap said that the best films in India come from God’s own country. He was speaking as the chief guest at the inaugural function of the Kerala International Film Festival. Anurag Kashyap says that he has been wanting to participate in IFFK for a long time and that he has many Malayalees among his friends. He said he had been trying to reach IFFK for a few years but could not because of a lack of time. Anurag Kashyap added that Malayalam cinema is marking the time when we are living in a time when the history of Indian cinema is being distorted. The uniqueness of Malayalam cinema is that it is being experimented with in the mainstream as well. It is rooted in this soil and marks the times. He also said that it cannot be seen in Hindi cinema.
