Warm meetings full of wagging tails brought smiles to the faces of many participants of yesterday’s Blesk Tlapky festival. There were so many attractions and competitions waiting for them on the spot that it took a lot of time to go through everything in just seven hours.

“It’s great here, we like it a lot. We’ve already tried agility, the bait trail, now we want to go through the stalls with dog supplies.” praised visitor Anna (16) with her female cocker spaniel Emma.

Attractions and celebrities

The pitfalls on the trail were a problem for the dogs, on which they tried to run a course with the gentlemen full of tempting lures in the form of treats and toys. A few resisted, but most took some goodies.

Trained champions also demonstrated their skills in front of visitors. They pulled loads, jumped high on foot, or ran on a treadmill, i.e. a running belt for dogs. Everything in moderation, of course, so that they don’t overexert themselves in the sun.

Plenty of water was prepared for refreshments, as well as a pool where they could wet their paws. And Czech celebrities, such as a singer, showed off their hair Heidi Jankůwho momentarily let go of the leash so she could sing to the audience.

“Hello, Marta Kubišová on the phone,” will sound on your phone when you call the new Paw Flash SOS line. The singer and animal rights activist collaborated with Blesk on the project and yesterday ceremonially launched the operation of the new emergency line.

“People can report suspicions of breeding facilities, torture and the like. We will deal with their suggestions,” Blesk tlapek reporter Jana Ulrichová tells the story.

If you suspect similar misconduct, call 225 977 876. Describe the case and leave a contact.

Nancy found happiness

Mrs. Gabriela (48) with her daughters and three dogs also came to see the Blesk tlapek festival. “We are very much looking forward to it. We planned to come last year, but it didn’t work out, so we are here for the first time this year,” he says.

She rescued her dogs from Depozit Beruška, but the female bitch Nancy (11) had the most moving fate. “The first owner abused her. An elderly lady saved her from him, but she died soon after. Nancy got to her son, who was beating her. But today she is happy and has finally found a home.” he says, stroking the happy crossbreed’s head lovingly.

They found new masters

The festival also featured shelters and associations that offered their inmates for adoption. The line has found potential future masters to come and see them in a quieter environment to verify that they will sit down. And one lucky female from the festival even went straight to her new owner!
