Thousands of visitors and social media users immortalized their time at Filgua 2023, taking photos at the striking stand that became the most instagrameable of this edition of the Book Fair.
The innovative architectural bet integrated a modern design of bookcases with asymmetric shapes, hundreds of spotlights turned into cascades of light and its iconic mix of neon colors, which represent the explosive Pantone of Guatemalan fabrics, gave life to a large literary tent, which the KitaPenas team commissioned the prestigious firm Tzol arquitectura.
“We feel honored with this recognition granted by the public and the jury. In addition, we have a great commitment and we are already thinking about how to surprise them at Filgua 2024”, said the journalist and presenter, Daniel Uzcategui, director of KitapenasBB.
A jury made up of senior representatives of El Salvador, invited to Filgua, as well as by votes of writers, personalities and by the acclamation of the thousands of visitors to the literary event held at the Majadas Forum, once again granted the bookstore recognition for its impeccable stand.
The stand also impressed the visitors to the expo, for recreating in its back bookcases of almost three meters high in which book spines of the best-selling titles of the Planeta and VyR publishing houses were exhibited, as well as with a standee of proportions with the characters from the hit Netflix teen series, Heartstopper.
The bookstore KitapenasBB is a local business with four years of success in the capital city. In addition to selling books, it promotes cultural activities such as the Love Letters to Guatemala contest and offers bistro and restaurant services with a menu of a literary nature, with dishes named in honor of books and writers.
