The Gamescom 2022 World Congress has kicked off in Cologne, Germany. The show used to be a mainstay in the video game industry since 2009 and has showcased some of the most influential games of all time. With E3 canceled this year, Gamescom is the show to watch for the highlights of this year. Here are the best promotions that have excited us.


Dune Awakening

Based on the award-winning Frank Herbert book series, Dune Awakening is an open-world MMO title set in the brutal world of Arrakis. You’ll have to survive sweltering heat, drought, and some giant sandworms on your way to world domination. There is no release date at the moment, but you can sign up for the latest updates for the game and put it on your wishlist here.


Hogwarts Legacy

Fans of the original Harry Potter series will be happy to see Hogwarts Legacy, which puts you in the role of a young wizard who enters Hogwarts School late. We knew that the game was coming for a while, but we didn’t know much about the plot of the story until now. The new offer also gives us a glimpse at the pre-order add-ons. New Tales From the Borderlands

Some would argue that this sub-series is as famous as the main Borderlands shooter itself, this narrative adventure from the Tales from the Borderlands series is making a comeback. The final episode of the original series ended with an open ending in 2018 and now New Tales From the Borderlands is aiming to complete it on all major platforms in October 2022.


Friends Vs Friends

Friends Vs Friends join the vast library of competitive shooter games. This game seeks to differentiate itself with a card-based power system similar to a title that combines Fortnite and Yu-Gi-Oh!. Atlas Fallen

Atlas Fallen takes place after a catastrophic event. You use your skills to help people return to their normal lives, in addition to summoning weapons needed to fight mythical monsters, and discover the secrets hidden in the sand. Atlas Fallen will be a PS5 exclusive when it comes out in 2023.


Moonbreaker

From the developers behind Subnautica and the bestselling feature art of New York Times For writer Brandon Sanderson comes Moonbreake, a role-playing adventure game with graphical character customization features. Moonbreaker will be released in September 2022 and you can add it here.

Dead Island 2

After a wait of 8 years, Dead Island 2 is finally back with a new developer that brings us the zombie survival experience better and wilder than ever. A new show has been revealed that has the same satire, great music, and plenty of blood. The Callisto Protocol

The original developers of the survival horror series Dead Space return to us with a new, chilling space saga. Although the game has been previously announced, Gamescom gave us our first look at the horrific gameplay. The result?
