The Public Prosecutor’s Office announced the detention of the commander of the First Support Division and one of his assistants on charges of their involvement in the assassination of Abdel Rahman Milad, known as “Al-Bidja”, pending investigation.

On Friday (September 6), the Attorney General’s Office announced that the commander of the First Support Division had complied with the investigation procedures into the killing of Abdul Rahman Milad.

The office said in a brief statement that the commander of the First Support Division voluntarily complied with the hearing of his statements by the assigned judicial police officer and the presentation of the results of the investigation to the investigating authority.

Last Wednesday, the Public Prosecution directed the Ministry of Interior to arrest 3 suspects in the murder of “Al-Bidja”.

The Public Prosecutor’s Office said that the judicial police officer listened to the statements of one of the suspects after he voluntarily surrendered himself, and ordered the arrest of the three suspects after the investigation proved their involvement in the crime.

Last Tuesday (September 3), the Public Prosecution announced that it had identified two suspects involved in the murder of the Naval College Commander, and the Ministry of Interior directed their arrest.

The Public Prosecution stated that the process of revealing the identity of the two accused came after investigation and investigation procedures into the circumstances and conditions of the incident, which resulted in identifying the two accused’s car.

On September 2, the commander of the Naval Academy, Abdul Rahman Milad, nicknamed “Al-Bidja,” was killed when his car was targeted by gunmen in the Sayyad area, west of Tripoli.
