No-confidence motion against Boris Johnson
As the 70th anniversary celebrations of Queen Elizabeth’s coronation in Britain come to an end yesterday, a no – confidence motion against Prime Minister Boris Johnson was put to a vote in her Conservative party from 6pm to 8pm today.
If he fails in this referendum, he will be forced to resign as Prime Minister. However, tensions in British politics continued as more than 75 Conservative lawmakers, including ministers, backed him.

A vote of no confidence
The vote took place this evening (18:00 to 20:00) as 54 MPs in the party have now received the no-confidence motion against Boris Johnson. The results will be released tonight.
Johnson, who had earlier written to fellow lawmakers asking them to support him, spoke out in support this evening.
In today’s vote, Boris Johnson needs at least 180 votes to retain his post as Prime Minister. So far, more than 75 members, including all ministers, have expressed support for Johnson.
Johnson’s coup
It is noteworthy that dissatisfaction with Johnson’s backbenchers has increased, although it is expected that Johnson will escape the coup.
The Conservative Party leader has announced that if today’s no-confidence motion fails, no new no-confidence motion will be brought against the Prime Minister for the coming year.
