Tiruporur, : Masilamani, 35, from Villupuram district, lives in a rented house with his family in Alattur Panchayat, next to Tiruporur. Alathur works in Citco Private Company.
In this case, Masilamani filled petrol for his ‘Pulsar’ bike at Tiruporur petrol station yesterday at 11:30 am and was on his way home towards Alattur on OMR road.
Then suddenly near Thandalam, the petrol tank of the bike leaked into the engine and the bike suddenly caught fire.
Masilamani, who immediately came to his senses, left the bike on the side of the road and ran away.
Meanwhile, the fire caught fire and the bike was completely gutted.
On hearing the information, the Tiruporur police extinguished the fire with the help of the public.
Later, Sirucherry fire department arrived and doused the fire.
According to the complaint, the Tiruppurur police have registered a case and are investigating.
