Bizi Tour, the bicycle festival organized by the Grand Départ Pays Basque and the Euskadi Cycling Foundation to celebrate the return of the Tour de France to the Basque Country, this Sunday saw the participation of hundreds of cycling fans in San Sebastián. The popular bicycle ride started at noon from the Sagüés esplanade and for an hour covered the main streets of the Gros, Centro and Antiguo neighborhoods. It has been a safe and protected walk of about eight kilometers, since the roads were closed to vehicles for the occasion. In addition, there have been raffles for cycling equipment such as bicycles, jerseys, helmets or shorts.

Specifically, lovers of two wheels have traveled through José Miguel Barandiarán, Zurriola avenue, Kursaal bridge, Reina Regente, Boulevard, Hernani street, Libertad avenue, Urbieta, San Martin, La Concha promenade, Satrustegi avenue , Zumalakarregi, Tolosa avenue, Andrestegi, Berio and Europa square, to return to the starting point along Tolosa avenue, Zumalakarregi, La Concha promenade, Zubieta street, Easo, Libertad avenue, Argentine Republic, Kursaal bridge, avenue from Zurriola, Plaza Lapurdi and José Miguel Barandiarán.

On the Sagüés esplanade, there was no lack of entertainment and music in a day of sports and leisure aimed at people of all conditions and ages, who have been able to enjoy empty streets prepared for a cycling stage with which to be part of the welcome squad to the Tour de France. Bizi Tour will have its replica in the other two Basque capitals in the coming weeks. On Sunday, June 4, it will be held in Vitoria and on the 25th in Bilbao.
