unique toucans (NFTs) took the mainstream by storm in 2021 after gaining widespread adoption around collections such as the Bored Monkeys (Bored Apes), or CryptoPunks.
The devout Bitcoin community, which for many years has been warning against scams and speculative uses of digital currencies, was against the field.
But now, a new NFT project called Ordinals (ordinals) that was launched on January 21 managed to “upgrade” to Bitcoin thanks to the last two upgrades made to the protocol in 2017 and 2021, Segwit (Segwit) and taproot (Taproot) respectively.
