The necessary measures were taken in connection with the delivery to the country and burial of the bodies of 4 of the 26 Azerbaijani citizens who died in the plane crash.
As Day.Az reports, this was stated at a meeting of the State Commission created to investigate the causes of the plane crash that occurred near Aktau.
Issues related to the delivery of the bodies of the remaining 22 victims to the country after completion of the forensic medical examination and other necessary measures were also discussed at the meeting.
Let us recall that on December 25, an Embraer 190 passenger plane belonging to AZAL, flying along the Baku-Grozny route, crashed 3 kilometers from Aktau airport.
There were 67 people on board the plane (62 passengers and 5 crew members).
After the crash of a passenger plane, 27 people were admitted to the hospital. Of these, 15 people are citizens of the Azerbaijan Republic, 8 – of the Russian Federation, 3 – of the Kyrgyz Republic. The identity of one person has not yet been established.
Both crew pilots and a flight attendant were killed; two crew members survived.
On December 26, 14 victims and the bodies of four dead were delivered to Azerbaijan.
The aircraft’s “black box” has already been discovered and procedures are being carried out to analyze it in accordance with international aviation conventions. An investigation into the causes of the disaster is currently underway. Final conclusions will be made after completion of all necessary research and data analysis.
