Khayyam Mirzazadeh is one of those rare composers who⁣ found their own symphonic language and style, creating a large number of ⁢unique examples of chamber, dramatic ​and film music. Among them⁤ are “Triptych”, “Essays-63”, “Pianto”,‍ “Concerto for Violin and Orchestra”; music⁢ for the films “My ‍Seven Sons”, “Our Street”,​ “Country Season”, etc. Among the film music created by Khayyam⁢ Mirzazadeh, there are compositions for the films “Country Season” (1985)⁢ and “Country House for One Family” (1978), the action of which takes place in Absheron villages.

In the 60s, he began his teaching career at the Azerbaijan State ⁤Conservatory named ⁣after Uzeyir Hajibeyli (now the Baku Music Academy named after Uzeyir Hajibeyli) ‍as ‍a senior⁤ assistant‌ to Gar Garayev (1918-1982). Later, in 1969-1983, he became head of ⁤the composition ⁢department.‍ He ‌devoted ‌about 50 years of ⁤his life to teaching, passing on the accumulated‍ knowledge and experience to his students, whose work he ⁢was‍ interested in even after completing ⁣their studies. Until the last days of his life, he ​wrote‌ music and gave advice to his⁢ graduates. His works are still performed today in Austria, England, Hungary, the Netherlands, Germany, Italy, France and ⁤other countries, without losing their relevance.
