The boy who molested the girl was arrested under the POCSO Act.
A 14-year-old boy is studying in Class IX in Perambalur district. The boy took a 10-year-old girl of class 5 who lives in the same area to her grandmother’s house and sexually abused her. The girl told her mother and cried.
Shocked to hear this, the girl’s mother filed a complaint at the Perambalur All Women Police Station. Based on the complaint, the police registered a case under the POCSO Act, arrested the boy and confined him in a juvenile reform school.
