In 1991 a series arrived on Rai 2 that told the daily problems of a group of high school students, mostly belonging to the middle class, who gathered around the low wall of Piazza Mancini in the Flaminio district in Rome: The boys of the wall. The show, which aired for three seasons from 1991 to 1996, in the course of the episodes deals with both lighter themes, such as first adolescent loves and school problems, and demanding social issues such as racism, violence in stadiums, drugs and prostitution.
