The STF (Supreme Federal Court) decided to indict 200 suspects over 200 of participating in the coup attacks on January 8, in the second analysis of cases, concluded this Tuesday (2). Adding the first wave of judgments in the case, the court has already opened 300 criminal cases against the alleged perpetrators of the events.

The two candidates of former President Jair Bolsonaro (PL) on the Court, judges Kassio Nunes Marques and André Mendonça, partially disagreed. Both understand that the Supreme Court must reject the complaints against the people indicated as instigating the events.

Another 250 complaints will be tried between the early hours of this Wednesday (3) and 11:59 p.m. on the 8th. With this, the Supreme Court will reach 550 cases analyzed. In total, 1,390 people were denounced by the Attorney General’s Office (Procuraduría General de la República) for their participation in the attacks.
