Tollywood actor Kanchan Mallick and actress Pinki Banerjee’s 9-year marriage broke up. On January 10, a Kolkata court granted the couple’s divorce petition. A few years ago, Pinky claimed that Kanchan Mallick had an extramarital affair with TV actress Srimoy Chattraj. Although Kanchan-Shrimayi was claiming this allegation as false. But after a month of officially breaking up with Pinky, Kanchan got married to Srimayi.
After her ex-husband’s marriage, Pinky spoke to the Indian media about the matter. Wishing well for Kanchan-Shrimayi, the actress said, ‘I want the newlyweds to be very well and happy. I applaud you for taking the bold decision to get married after dating for so long. This is what should have happened. In our life nothing is held for anyone. I am very happy with my son. Every night I hug my son and listen to Goppo Meer’s Thek or Sunday Suspense. What can be more unbridled joy than this. In my opinion, what they did was absolutely right. I’m working, I’m spending time with my son back home, I’m doing well.’
Mrs. Pinki did not like some parts of this speech. Instead, he spoke attacking Pinky. In her words – ‘I married Kanchan for love, not to show any bravery. Those who have left Kanchan, be yourself, please don’t look down on us.’
Kanchan Mallik also opened up about Pinky’s comments. In her words, ‘I don’t feel the need to answer to my ex about who I will marry. I don’t want any third person to comment on my well-being.’
Mention, Srimayi Chattraj said, Srimayi-Kanchan completed the registry marriage on February 14, i.e. International Valentine’s Day. They will complete the marriage ceremony socially on March 6. This is Srimayi’s first but Kanchan’s third marriage.
