Nagarajan hails from Koothanallur in Thiruvarur district. His wife is Parameswari. He has a 26-year-old daughter named Nalini. She was married to Rajkumar (37), son of a beggar from Thoothuru next to Thirukuvalai in Naga District.
The marriage took place on the 27th in the wedding hall. The mother of the bride has lodged a complaint with the Parameswari Police Superintendent’s Office.
Parameswari stated in the complaint: –
We donated 12 pounds of jewelery, a bike and accessories worth Rs 3 lakh for the wedding. The first night happened to our girl at the groom’s house during the wedding. My daughter has been sexually abused unnaturally.
Relatives rushed to the room the first night after hearing the daughter’s screams. But the newcomer Rajkumar escaped. My daughter, who was lying unconscious with injuries all over her body, is being treated at the Thiruthuraipoondi Government Hospital. Our daughter is behaving as if she is mentally ill. Therefore, the groom Rajkumar should be arrested and action should be taken, the petition said.
Relatives say Nalini, who is being treated for injuries all over her body, is very scared at the thought of the incident.
In fact Rajkumar is being investigated from the angle of whether he was mentally ill and whether his parents had married Nalini to their son in the hope that the marriage panna would be okay.
