(Web Desk) The British citizen set a new Guinness World Record by jumping 18,753 feet from the top of the Himalayas in Nepal.

According to details, 34-year-old Joshua Bregman jumped from Mount Mera in Nepal and landed on the ground with the help of a parachute, surpassing the previous record by more than 4,000 feet.

According to a report by a foreign news agency, this record was previously held by French player Mathias Garrard, who jumped from 14,301 feet in 2019. However, this feat is now being called the world’s highest sky base jump.

Ski base jumping is a high-risk sport in which athletes jump off a mountain or cliff on skis, free-fall into the air, and then land using a parachute.

Bregman spent two weeks on Mount Mira Peak for his endeavor, hiking, skiing and camping to acclimatize to the altitude.

He and his team faced difficulties such as lack of oxygen and constant headaches. They also needed to find a suitable jump spot and clear the debris from there.

Bregman stated that his first chosen location was not suitable and that he was about to give up, but the next day he found a better location, from which he prepared to jump.

“We got about 2 centimeters of snow that night, not a lot, but it helped,” Bregman said. The pass was just a small rocky strip at an altitude of about 6,000 meters.”

Bregman completed the stunt, which was intended to raise awareness of the problem of human trafficking in Nepal so that the proceeds could be used to help thousands of affected children.
