With a change of headquarters and a return to the building on the former Kirchner Cultural Center, the Argentine Antiquities Dealers Association present the seventeenth edition of the Buenos Aires Antique Book Fairwhich will take place in Plaza Seca, from 18 to 22 September, from 2 to 8 pm

This year the focus of the exhibition will be on the famous writer Julio Cortazar110 years after his birth and 40 years after his death. On the same day of the opening, from 3 to 7 pm, the celebration day “CUTTING TO ASSEMBLE” will take place in the Hall of Honor, with participation from Liliana Heker, Ivonne Bordelois, Silvia Hopenhayn, Mariana Iglesias, Eugenia Zicavo and Lucio Aquilanti, in ongoing conversations and dialogue.

This first instance of the literary meeting will end with a dance performance based on stories from the famous author “hopscotch”. The Fair will be formally opened at 7:30pm and authorities from the Cultural Center and ALADA will be present. At the end there will be a tour around the stands of the 22 participating exhibitors, all members of the Antiquarian Booksellers Association of Argentina and guests.

Among the cultural activities of the Fair again will be the Workshop Spacein which artists and craftsmen from attractive fields such as restoration, bookbinding, papermaking, printing and illustration, as well as publishing, engraving and calligraphy, take part. The National University of San Martín (UNSAM) It will also be part of the Fair which will showcase its range of related careers. Alongside the Workshop Space is a sample of historical objects linked to writing implements.
