The British Foreign Office lit up its building in London in the colors of the Ukrainian flag, reported in the press service of the Foreign Ministry on Twitter.

“The building of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is illuminated in the colors of the Ukrainian flag as a sign of solidarity with the Ukrainian people,” the message says.

Foreign Ministry sent a note of protest after the rally at the representative office in Georgia

On January 26, an image of the Ukrainian flag was placed on the building of the Russian diplomatic mission in Tbilisi with the help of a projector. According to the UNIAN news agency, the action was organized by the Georgian party European Georgia – Movement for Freedom. First, the organizers projected the flag of Ukraine with the inscription “Glory to Ukraine!” onto the building, and then the NATO emblem. During the action the anthem of Ukraine sounded.

After that, the Russian Foreign Ministry sent a note of protest to the Georgian Foreign Ministry, stating the need for the Georgian authorities to comply with the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations of April 18, 1961. The note was also sent to the head of the Georgian Interests Section at the Embassy of the Swiss Confederation in Moscow. The press service of the Russian Foreign Ministry called the action “anti-Russian”. In addition, the department indicated that before the start of the action, the main and backup power supply was turned off in the building.
