The show will be recorded at Chilevisión studios and directed by filmmaker Pablo Larraín.

The Bunkers launched their first MTV Unplugged recording on Thursday, renowned space on the music channel where bands play their music in acoustic format and in front of a small audience.

The group from Concepción made the announcement at a press conference held at the facilities of Chilevisión, where the special will be recorded, and which will be directed by the well-known filmmaker Pablo Larraínwhile production will be in charge of Emanuel del Real, keyboardist, guitarist and part of Café Tacvba.

This presentation of Los Bunkers is marked by the departure of drummer Mauricio Basualto, whose place was taken by Cancamusa, who was already part of the band during Basualto’s absence due to his health problems.

“We believe that the band has received this invitation at an excellent time in its career. With several very recent milestones in the band and an album that has been released less than a year ago,” the group said in a statement.

For Los Bunkers, recording for MTV Unplugged “allows us to change our state and return to a smaller, absolutely intimate work format with a warmth that they hope to pass on to the audience. In a way, for Los Bunkers it means going back to their roots when they shaped their songs with acoustic instruments before going electric. Preparing this show will be an adventure that we believe will be fun and enriching.”

With this, they will be the third Chilean band to be part of this iconic MTV space, after the passage of Los Tres and La Ley.
