Neyyattinkara: In Neyyattinkara, Tamil Nadu Transport Corporation’s bus ran over a woman’s leg and got off. Sylvayan’s wife J.S. was seriously injured in Poowar Pallam’s homestead. Ajitha (26) was admitted to a private hospital in the capital. Ajitha underwent emergency surgery and is under observation. The bones of the right leg were crushed. The hospital officials said that they were joined after a 5-hour long surgery, but only after 3 days, anything can be said.
The left leg bone is also fractured. The accident took place at Neyyatinkara bus stand junction yesterday morning at half past nine. While overtaking, Ajitha hit the handle of the scooter and fell under the bus. Tried to roll over but the rear wheels landed on the right leg. On the morning of 25th of last month, 3 people were run over near Alummudu Junction. In this, the person who went for a morning ride later died. The next accident happened on the 1st of this month at 12:30 pm. A lorry carrying granite for the construction of Vizhinjam International Port collided. About fifteen people were injured in the incident. There were about ten accidents in Neyyatinkara during one month. Out of this 3 lives were lost.
