Business Forum Announces Nationwide Strike to Protest “Legal Coup”

In a surprising turn of events, the Business Forum, consisting of approximately 150 companies, has announced a strike set to begin tomorrow. Following a late-night gathering of the heads of the country’s largest companies, the forum declared that all company activities would cease operations starting the next day.

The Azrieli Group, a prominent member of the forum, has also joined in the announcement, stating that trading centers and offices across the country will be shut down. Additionally, several high-tech companies and venture capital funds have decided to halt their activities and allow employees to participate in protest activities against the alleged “legal coup.”

The Business Forum includes notable members such as the CEOs of major banks, Malisron Malls, Big Malls, the Fox Group, Shufersal, the Isrotel hotel chain, the Fatal hotel chain, the Central Beverage Company, among others.

According to the forum’s announcement, they are calling on other companies and businesses to unite in this emergency measure to halt the unilateral legislation and initiate negotiations. They emphasize the need for agreements that can prevent significant damage to the economy and the deepening societal divide, which poses a risk to national security and the future of the country.

Dobi Amitai, Chairman of the Presidency of the Business Sector, expressed his excitement over the unity displayed by the forum. He stated, “I met businessmen who are anxious for the fate and security of the country. I am very excited to see the power of the forum, and I am proud of it. Practically, I see companies and businesses organizing themselves, stating that a matter of conscience prohibits them from operating.”

Amitai noted that this organization is spontaneous and expects various networks and services in the private sector to remain closed as the strike progresses. Moreover, he believes that the business sector will increasingly demonstrate its stance by urging both the Prime Minister and opposition leaders to come to a mutually agreed-upon framework, highlighting that the differences between them are exceedingly minor.

The members of the forum include influential figures from various sectors, including prominent CEOs of banks, Malisron Malls, Big Malls, the Fox Group, Shufersal, the Isrotel hotel chain, the Fatal hotel chain, and the Central Beverage Company.

With the strike set to begin tomorrow, the nation eagerly awaits the outcome and its potential implications on the ongoing political situation.
