In total, 25 160 post offices will require modernization, Chernyshenko noted. “Moreover, they are all in remote rural areas, settlements with less than 5,000 people (population – Ed.),” The Deputy Prime Minister noted.
The modernization of more than 25,000 branches should be completed by the end of 2025, Chernyshenko stressed.
In early October, Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin signed a decree, according to which changes were made to the charter of Russian Post, adding a clause on the organization’s right to place additional uncertified shares with a par value of a package of 300 billion rubles.
