CaixaBank once again launches its most charitable initiative at Christmas time. ‘The Tree of Dreams’ aims to help a total of 29,229 children at risk of vulnerability in Spain, 2,000 more than last year, receive this Christmas the gift they have asked for in their letters.

Since last November 20, CaixaBank offices have had letters written by children up to 12 years of age who are at risk for different reasons: broken families, food poverty, being in residential centers, etc.

To collaborate in the initiative, you only need to be a customer and go to a CaixaBank office, where you will be assigned one of the letters written by a child in which they will detail the specific gift they most want for this Christmas. Once the letter has been collected, participants have until December 15 to bring their gift to their office, which is limited to a maximum amount of 50 euros.

From that date on, CaixaBank and the more than 370 social entities with which it collaborates in this initiative will organize the collection and distribution of the gifts so that the children can see their dream become a reality. For many families this is the only gift they receive thanks to the chain of solidarity that is generated among the entity’s clients.

Social entities and companies involved

‘The Tree of Dreams’ is an initiative organized by CaixaBank that has the collaboration of 371 social entities, including its delegations, linked to the fight against poverty and child vulnerability, as well as more than 400 companies.

Thanks to the more than 3,000 offices that participate in this program in nearly 1,500 municipalities, CaixaBank manages to bring ‘The Tree of Dreams’ to all of Spain.

The 2023 edition is the sixth for ‘The Tree of Dreams’ and the forecast of responding to the requests of a total of 29,229 letters implies surpassing the record of beneficiaries of the initiative in its history. Since the first edition of ‘The Tree of Dreams’ in 2018, CaixaBank has managed to help fulfill more than 140,000 wishes of children at risk of poverty and social exclusion with this campaign.
