Association of Guatemalan Exporters (AGEXPORT) sent the call to national companies that export products or services to register and participate in the 2024 edition of the National Export Award.
In perspective. The annual event recognizes Guatemalan companies that export products and services that stand out for their innovation, excellence in quality, business sustainability and a high level of competitiveness.
- This year, the gala night, which will bring together representatives of the export sector, government authorities, diplomatic corps, among others, will be held on October 24, starting at 6:00 pm, with the theme Innovation, Transformation and Sustainability.
- The Award has been given since 1998 (it reaches its 36th edition), although it was given the name “Carlos José Castillo, for the Best Exporter” in the first production. In 2010, the change was made to the current one.
- In 2023, 60 companies participated and there were six finalists. “Exporter of the Year” was awarded to the company Sunfresh Farms, which won the “Incremental Innovation” category.
you Gabriel Biguria, president of the board of directors of AGEXPORT, indicated that the “national export festival” is to proudly celebrate those Guatemalan companies that are putting the country’s flag on international markets every day.
- “We want all companies involved in this effort to participate, so we ask them to register for the Award before August 1,” he said.
- The organization is looking for national companies that have managed to have a positive impact on their productivity, internal processes and business models. The application is voluntary and free.
- The organizers indicate that they want to provide a memorable experience this year with a unique experience that combines innovation, creativity and production as the distinguishing seal of the event.
What to draw attention. Companies exporting products or services that have operations in Guatemala can participate in the award.
- You must belong to one of these sectors: agriculture, aquaculture and fishing, manufacturing, clothing and textiles, services and BPO.
- In addition, show sustained percentage growth in its exports over the past three years.
