The audiovisual content was generated without the need for cameras or actors; just one image of them was enough to recreate iconic scenes such as the Miss Universe pageant, the goal against England at Wembley and the Olympic Games in Athens.
In an audiovisual piece that lasts only 45 secondsyou can see Cecilia Bolocco at 22 years old, Speaking with her father a few minutes before being crowned Miss Universe, in May 1987, to former footballer Marcelo Salas; in 1998, before scoring her memorable goal against England in the famous match at Wembley; and to Aunt Sonia in 2004, encouraging her son Nicolás Massú, before he, together with Fernando González, won the epic gold medal at the Athens Olympic Games.
How did they go back in time and relive these unprecedented moments? With the technology of the future, the artificial intelligence (AI)which allowed the development of this campaign that recreated one of the most important phone calls between these iconic Chileans.
“That call before the match was very important because I had to give it all my strength. Being able to relive that moment thanks to this video was very exciting, because I will never forget how happy it made me as a mother. Come on Nico, you can do it, I told him, and everything went well thanks to his strength and hunger to do things well, especially when he was representing his country. That result united Chile and became part of our history,” said Sonia Fried, mother of tennis player Nicolás Massú.
The campaign It is part of the celebration of 60th anniversary of Entelwhich under the motto “A future with history” recreated with artificial intelligence iconic moments of the past that marked Chileans and became characteristic of our culture, all with one element in common: the connection with a loved one.
“Behind every story, there is a call and behind every call there is a connection. This piece took a tour of important moments that we have experienced in the country and highlights the importance of human connection, with our loved ones, both in complex moments, such as the earthquake, or of happiness when we became winners of the Copa América in 2015.. At Entel we have accompanied Chileans throughout their history, and we will continue to do so, looking to the future, evolving with technology without ever losing the importance of human relations, which is the most important connection,” explains the corporate marketing manager of Entel, Romina Galatzan.
The video recreates milestones in our country such as the first telephone call in 1964, Cecilia Bolocco becoming the first Chilean Miss Universe, the 2010 earthquake and ends with a look to the future imagining a call with Starlink “Direct to Cell” satellite connectivity in 2025, service that will allow Entel customers to connect in areas without coverage.
