The organized supporters of “Levski” and CSKA have made a commitment that flares will not be used at the upcoming eternal derby on October 19.
In recent editions of the most watched Bulgarian football match, their insane use has become more frequent, which threatens people’s health and especially frightens parents who brought their children supposedly on a holiday.
Because of this, it even came to the launch of the idea that the derby should now be played without fans of the visiting team, in order to stop the stupidity.
Here is what was announced a while ago by “Levski”, which is the symbolic host of the upcoming match:

“On the initiative of “PFK Levski” today, October 4, a meeting was organized related to the match with “CSKA-Sofia” that will take place on October 19, Saturday. It was attended by the management of both clubs, representatives of the SDVR and the organized supporters of “Levski” and “CSKA-Sofia”.
It was the wish of all parties that the match at the “Vasil Levski” National Stadium become a football celebration and that the health and lives of those present in the stands are not endangered. In this regard, the representatives of the organized supporters of “Levski” and “CSKA-Sofia” ” have made a commitment not to use flares, which we have witnessed in the last few meetings between the two teams.”
