Both the capital markets of the country ended the outgoing week (September 1 to 5) with indices falling. Also, the market capitalization of both the stock exchanges decreased by 11 thousand 203 crore 77 lakh taka. However, during the discussion period, Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) has increased in amount of money, but Chittagong Stock Exchange (DSE-CSE) has decreased.
This information was revealed on the basis of DSE’s weekly market review on Saturday (September 7).
According to the data, during the week, the main index of DSE, DSEX, decreased by 75.77 points or 1.31 percent to 5 thousand 728 points. Among other indices, DSE-30 index fell by 10.35 points or 0.49 percent to 2,114 points, DSE Shariah index by 12.45 points or 1 percent to 1,228 points and DSMEX index (SME Index) by 15.73 points or 1 .29 percent decreased to 1 thousand 207 points.
On the last working day of the outgoing week, the market capitalization stood at Tk 6 lakh 92 thousand 431 crore 18 lakh. And on the last working day of the week before the farewell week, the market capitalization of DSE was Tk 6 lakh 99 thousand 581 crore 54 lakh. That is, the market capital has decreased by 7 thousand 150 crores 36 lakhs within a week.
3 thousand 994 crore 6 lakh taka was traded in Dhaka stock exchange in the last week. And the week before the farewell week, the transaction was 3 thousand 170 crore 18 lakh rupees. That is, the transaction in DSE has increased by 823 crores and 87 lakhs during the week.
A total of 395 company shares on DSE in the outgoing week
Units have been traded. Among the companies, 76 increased, 311 decreased and 8 remained unchanged. And 18 were not traded.
In the other capital market Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE), the overall index of CSE CASPI decreased by 141.47 points or 0.85 percent to 16 thousand 378 points. Among other indices of CSE, CSE-30 index fell by 0.75 percent to 13 thousand 99 points, CSCX by 0.79 percent to 9 thousand 875 points, CSI index by 0.81 percent to 1 thousand 39 points and SESMEX (SME Index) by 3.02 percent. Decreased to 2 thousand 591 points.
On the last working day of the outgoing week, the market capitalization stood at 722 thousand 242 crore 67 lakh taka. And on the last working day of the week before the farewell week, the market capitalization of CSE was Tk 727,296,900. in money In other words, the market capital has decreased by 4 thousand 53 crores and 41 lakhs within a week.
71 crore 81 lakh taka was traded in Chittagong Stock Exchange in the outgoing week. And 274 crore 14 lakh taka was traded in the week before the farewell week. In other words, during the week, transactions in CSE decreased by Tk 202 crore 33 lakh.
A total of 324 shares and units of companies participated in trading on CSE in the outgoing week. Among the companies, 91 advanced, 221 declined and 12 were unchanged.
