A musical performance of free improvisation under the title “The Car Boot Sales”, with an emphasis on the extensive use of recycled objects as musical instruments, is hosted by “Scene 125” of Theatrical Symplay (within KE.PA.VI.) on Monday, April 22 , at 9 in the evening.

Improvisers Tasos Stamou and Adam Bohman produce acoustic and electronic sounds with unorthodox means and compose live abstract musical soundscapes, influenced by the dense urban centers of London and Athens, where they respectively grew up. Under the title “The Car Boot Sales” they have presented the project, beyond the aforementioned big cities, in other cities in England, Germany and Lithuania.
Adam Bohman is a historic figure in English musical experimentation. Producing sounds from objects he collects from the garbage, such as broken ceramics and glasses, cans and other “useless” remnants of consumer culture, his musical table surprises both in its sculptural form and in the range of the sound palette it can produce. A member of the legendary avant-garde duo with his brother The Bohman Brothers, he has traveled across Europe to many festivals and music scenes hosting exploratory music. He is a founding member of the London Improvisers Orchestra and continues to be its noisiest and outsider-art member.
Tasos Stamou is an electroacoustic music composer and improviser, music technologist and electronic instrument maker, studio and radio producer. His move to the UK in the previous decade shaped his music towards assimilating new avant-garde currents and among other things he practiced the art of free musical improvisation and the use and construction of improvised musical instruments from recycled materials. Since 2018 he has also been recycling musical elements of the south-eastern Mediterranean and his folkloric experiences through contemporary electronic music projects (Musique Con Crete, DAD, Antiqua Graecia). His resume includes over 300 live performances and recordings. He has collaborated with many musicians from the field of improvisation and exploratory music (Anna Homler, Steve Beresford, Savina Giannatou, Mike Cooper, Sharon Gal).
Performance duration 2 hours. General admission 10 euros. It is necessary to reserve seats on the phones 2651312830, 6945533242 and 6983749922.
