Raebareli: Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha and Congress MP from Rae Bareli Parliamentary seat Rahul Gandhi has sent a gift after about three months to the barber shop where he got his beard and hair trimmed during the Lok Sabha election campaign. Mithun expressed happiness after receiving the gift. Former Congress President Rahul Gandhi had attended a public meeting in Lalganj on May 13 during the Lok Sabha election campaign, while leaving from there, Rahul stopped at Mithun’s saloon in Brijendra Nagar and got his beard trimmed. Mithun told on Friday that Rahul Gandhi had talked to him for a long time.
After more than three months, suddenly on Thursday a vehicle stopped near my shop and two people unloaded two chairs, a shampoo chair, inverter set etc. from the vehicle and handed them over to me. Mithun was told that these items were sent by Rahul Gandhi and after this those people left. Mithun was happy at this and expressed gratitude towards Gandhi. However, in this regard, Congress District President Pankaj Tiwari said that “Information about the goods being sent by the MP was found through social media. If the goods have arrived then it is a very good thing.”
Earlier, while returning after appearing in a case in the MP-MLA court in Sultanpur, Rahul Gandhi had stopped at a cobbler’s shop in Kurebhar area and got slippers and shoes made. After enquiring about the financial and family condition of Ram Chait, Rahul had sent him a sewing machine.
