Pursuant to Resolution No. 0372 of 2024 issued by the Delegate for Territorial Security, the Attorney General of the Nation, Luz Adriana Camargo Garzón, has decided to submit to distribution the knowledge of the proceedings against Nicolás Fernando Petro Burgos.
This is because the recusal presented to the 001 Delegate Prosecutor before the Superior District Court was declared founded.
The case of Nicolás Petro, which includes crimes related to money laundering, illicit enrichment and violation of personal datawill be assigned to the corresponding Prosecutor’s Office by distribution in the Specialized Directorate against Money Laundering of the Delegate for Criminal Finances.

This procedure seeks to ensure proper and specialized handling of accusations and trials related to these crimes.
In order to maintain coherence and efficiency in the criminal proceedings, the Special Task Force previously formed for this case by Resolution No. 0312 has been eliminated. However, the team of judicial police officers, experts and analysts who have been involved in the investigations will continue to support the new prosecutor assigned.
The CTI (Technical Investigation Corps) will maintain the judicial police team that has intervened in the investigations and other legal actions to ensure the continuity and proper monitoring of the judicial process against Nicolás Petro.
