The regulator confirmed this information to the publication, calling the prepared amendments “the next step to liberalize the requirements of currency control, aimed at relieving the burden on residents, including participants in foreign trade.” The Bank of Russia reported that the changes will come into force in the near future, without specifying a specific date.
After 2023, it is proposed to raise the threshold for controlled transactions to RUB 1.5 million. For real estate transactions, this indicator is recommended to be set at 10 million rubles.
