The German government plans to soon supply some 2,700 “Sterla” anti-aircraft missiles to Ukraine, as part of its military assistance in the war against Russia. These are Soviet-made missiles, which were added to the German arsenal from the former East German army depots after the reunification between the two countries. A government source reported on the intention of the media in the country.
The move is further confirmation of the German position change, which until a week ago decided to provide Ukraine with only “defensive equipment” and sent only about 5,000 helmets. In the past week, according to reports, some 500 anti-tank missiles and 1,000 anti-aircraft missiles have already been delivered from German military depots to combat forces in Ukraine.
