The Central Bank publishes the “Revenue and Expenditure” statement for the month of July

The Central Bank of Libya issued its monthly statement of public revenue and expenditure for the month of July of this year, which covers the period from 01/01/2024 to 07/31/2024.

The Central Bank affirmed in its statement, “its continued efforts to achieve the highest rates of disclosure and transparency through many available tools, in order to involve all state institutions and citizens in awareness of the state’s economic and financial reality.”

The Central Bank explained in its statement that “total revenues amounted to 61.15 billion Libyan dinars, while total expenditures amounted to 57.56 billion Libyan dinars.”

The bank confirmed that “oil sales revenues amounted to 51 billion, oil royalties revenues amounted to 8.8 billion, tax revenues amounted to 395 million, customs revenues amounted to 129 million, and communications revenues amounted to 73 million.”

The Central Bank indicated that “revenues from the sale of fuel in the local market amounted to 32 million, while the value of other revenues amounted to 721 million Libyan dinars.”

The Central Bank pointed out that “spending for the first chapter (salaries) amounted to 36.5 billion, the second chapter (operating expenses) 4 billion, the third chapter (development) 160 million, the fourth chapter (support) 9.4 billion, and the fifth chapter (emergencies) 0.0.”

The bank added that the expenditure on the financial arrangements of the National Oil Corporation amounted to 5 billion, and the financial arrangements of the General Electricity Company amounted to 2.5 billion.
