The Iraqi Central Wrestling Federation has set the dates for the Iraqi club championships in freestyle and Roman wrestling for all categories.
The head of the Central Iraqi Wrestling Federation, Shaalan Abdul Kadhim, announced in a statement to the Central Wrestling Federation followed by the (INA) that “holding tournaments for buds, juveniles, juniors, and youth, as well as advanced ones, comes within the federation’s program for the remainder of the current season (2024), which was full of distinguished results.” “.
He explained, “The Iraqi Junior Championship for freestyle and Romanian events will be held from the 28th of this month until the first of next October, while the Iraqi Junior Championship for freestyle and Romanian events will be held from the first to the third of next November.”
He continued, “The Iraqi Youth Championship competitions for freestyle and Romanian events will be held for the period from 3-5 of next November, while the advanced freestyle and Romanian competitions will be held for the period from 5-7 of next November, and finally the event championship will be held for the period from 7-9 of next November.” “.
He stressed: “The federation seeks to develop the performance and levels of wrestlers for the better and select qualified elements to represent the national teams in upcoming international events, wishing the training staff and wrestlers to provide all their levels that reflect the good reputation of the Iraqi wrestling sport.”
