thehe small world of gastronomy is slowly preparing for its annual celebrations. While Gault & Millau recently revealed the nominees for its 2025 trophies, which will be presented at a gala evening in Paris on November 18, the Michelin Guide is fine-tuning its program.
And it has just revealed the name of the next “host territory”: Moselle. It is the city of Metz that will be the scene of the 2025 Michelin Guide ceremony. Initially located in Paris, this event moved to the regions for three editions, under the guidance of Gwendal Poullennec, international director of the guides.
Michelin Guide: Metz will host the ceremony on March 31, 2025
After Cognac in 2022, Strasbourg in 2023 and Tours in 2024, it is in Metz that the chefs and professionals of the sector will meet. It remains to be seen who will succeed Fabien Ferré and Jérôme Banctel, winners of the three stars in the latest list. The choice of the city of Metz was leaked a few weeks ago, but here is now the official announcement. The ceremony will take place in the Robert-Schuman Congress Center.
“A true European cultural and culinary crossroads, we will be happy to bring together the greatest talents of French gastronomy in the Moselle. For the fourth consecutive year, we are pleased to enter into a partnership with local authorities who wish to make catering the engine of a powerful intergenerational and interprofessional dynamic”, indicates Gwendal Poullennec in the press release.
The date of the ceremony has also been revealed: it will be March 31, 2025, significantly later than previous editions. Like every year, the event will also be broadcast live on the Michelin Guide’s social networks.
