The world is very worried in recent days in the face of the escalation between Russia and Ukraine and the beginning of the Russian invasion into the country. Sky Sports first reported that UEFA is considering moving the Champions League final from Gazprom Stadium in St. Petersburg to another pitch, in response to the conflict between Russia and Ukraine and a desire to provide fans with an experience without any worries. As the day progressed the reports got more and more stamps and tomorrow (Friday) the UEFA will convene to discuss moving the stadium from Russia to another country when the official final date is May 28th.

The British Parliament said: “We have serious concerns about hosting international sporting events in Russia, such as the Champions League final. We will discuss the issue with all the relevant administrative bodies in order to make a decision. “
The stadium in St. Petersburg contains 67,800 seats and is currently scheduled to host the final of the biggest football team event later this year. Now, it seems that the UEFA may turn to and other hosting options following the alarming events. Previously, the stadium also hosted World Cup games in Russia.
