Nayib Bukele, who in 2024 will seek immediate presidential re-election despite the fact that the Constitution prohibits it, changed his description on X (formerly Twitter) this Friday, December 1, from president of El Salvador to “Philosopher King.”
The Legislative Assembly approved on the night of Thursday, November 30, a six-month license for Bukele, a 42-year-old businessman and politician, to dedicate himself to the political campaign ahead of the 2024 general elections, in which which according to the polls has a good chance of winning.
As of December 1, the politician, who won the Presidency in 2019, leaves his duties as president and can carry out his political propaganda as a candidate, although some analysts have pointed out EFE that Bukele “had already started his political campaign from the Government.”
In fact, on the eve of the approval of his license, Bukele, still in his presidential duties, convened a national radio and television network to announce the inauguration of a clinic on a remote island and a new ambulance center.
In addition, he announced the construction of a national stadium with an investment from China, the amount of which was not specified.

It is unknown whether the candidate for the Salvadoran Presidency will carry out any proselytizing event or other activity in the context of the political campaign on this day or in the coming days.
Bukele has until January 2024 for his electoral propaganda, ahead of the February 4 elections in which he has a high chance of being re-elected president, leaving the other candidates with few or no options.
The possibility of Bukele being re-elected for a second consecutive term in 2024 was opened in September 2021, when a questioned Constitutional Chamber of the Court of Justice of Justice (CSJ) modified a criterion on the issue.
