by time news

The Tamil parties Relo, Plot, EPRLV, Tamil National Party, and Democratic Militant Party signed the agreement for the new alliance today.

The MoU was signed at 12.20 pm after a special discussion held at a private hotel in Jaffna on Saturday. After this, the party leaders had commented to the media and issued a media statement.

The report states that:

“The Tamil Eelam Liberation Movement and the Democratic People’s Liberation Front, which have been operating under the name of the Federation of Tamil Nadu, and the Eelam People’s Revolutionary Liberation Front, the Tamil National Party, and the Democratic Militant Party, the Sri Lankan Tamil Rashuk Party, which was one of the member parties of the Tamil National Federation, formed the Tamil National Federation. Rejecting the demand to emerge as a broad united front, a strong structure for our race, and rejecting the formation of the Tamil National Federation as a registered party, the above parties have automatically withdrawn from it, in order to protect the interests and trust of the Tamil people, we have declared ourselves as the Tamil National Federation.

Indo-Sri Lanka Treaty of Allied North East

In order to ensure that the Tamil people in Sri Lanka live as equals on the basis of the sovereignty and self-determination of the Tamil people in the united north-eastern region, which is the historical habitat of the Tamil people accepted by both governments in the India-Sri Lanka agreement, the above politics are engaged in various political activities with the aim of rejecting the unitary system and creating a fully responsible autonomy based on Samashti. Organizations have decided to strengthen and operate the Tamil National Federation in order to achieve their objectives.

Also, this association aims to uphold and protect all the legal and democratic rights of the Tamil speaking people living outside our traditional homeland on the island of Sri Lanka. Although the various parties operating in the Tamil National area have been functioning as the Tamil National Federation since 2001, since the Tamil National Federation is not a structured political organization, the aforementioned parties have decided to make the Tamil National Federation a structured and strong political force.
