Interim Government Chief Advisor Professor Dr. Muhammad Yunus visited the military base for the first time. During this time the Chief Adviser was briefed on important matters of national security.
On Sunday (August 15), the Chief Adviser was welcomed by Chief of Army Staff General Waqar-uz-Zaman when he arrived at the headquarters.
At this time, foreign advisor Md. Touhid Hossain, Home Affairs Advisor Lt. Gen. Jahangir Alam Chowdhury (Retd.), Special Assistant to the Chief Adviser on Defense and National Integration Development Lieutenant General Abdul Hafiz (Retd.), Cabinet Secretary Md. Mahbub Hossain, Navy and Air Force Chiefs, military and civilian senior officers, Inspector General of Police (IGP) and intelligence agencies, BGB, Coast Guard, Ansar, VDP and RAB Director General and HQ officers.
A press release issued by the Directorate of Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said that the valuable guidance provided by the Chief Adviser during the visit will be of great help in the formulation and implementation of future action plans collectively.
