On the sidelines of the 79th session of the United Nations General Assembly, the chief advisor of the interim government of Bangladesh will meet with the Secretary General of the organization, Antonio Guterres. Muhammad Yunus.
The meeting will be held at the UN Secretariat on Thursday (September 25) at 2:15 pm local time.
The Chief Adviser is currently in New York to attend the General Assembly session. Before that, he will meet with US President Joe Biden on Tuesday night. Besides, the Chief Advisor met with Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, World Bank President Ajay Banga, International Monetary Fund (IMF) Managing Director Kristalina Georgieva and others.
Earlier, the Chief Adviser began his UN visit with a reception hosted by UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres. He met world leaders at the reception. He also attended the inaugural session of UNGA.
Next September 27 at 10 am local time Dr. Muhammad Yunus will address the UN General Assembly.
