Manama: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan will inaugurate a printing house called Expat Print House Private Limited in Thiruvananthapuram on Saturday, December 31. There are many expatriates who postpone their return journey indefinitely as they cannot expect a steady income back home. The long-term exile from family members, close friends and the social and cultural environment of the country puts a lot of stress and its consequences on the common Malayali. It is in this situation that Pravasi Federation has come forward with the goal of being an initiative. Expat Print House is an investment scheme where common expatriates can secure fixed income by investing, and expatriate rehabilitation scheme where returning expatriates can get job opportunities in printing and designing related fields. About 150 Malayali expatriates from ten countries like Gulf countries, America, Morocco, England, Singapore have invested in the project. Around 20 people will get employment directly and more than 50 people indirectly. Officials said that the expat print house is the first of many such projects planned to be started across Kerala under the leadership of Pravasi Federation. Expat Print House is led by business leaders from the UAE and Bahrain and representatives of the returning expatriate community with expertise in various fields.

Pravasi Federation State General Secretary and Housing Board Chairman P.P. Chairman of Sunir Expat Print House and State President of Pravasi Federation Benoy Vishwam MP and State Working President Tyson Master MLA are members of the Board of Directors. Biju Anchal, a former expatriate of Bahrain, is the general manager of the firm. There is also a 50-member Governing Council from various countries to provide guidelines and opinion formation for the institution’s policy decisions.

The building is built on an area of ​​10000 square feet at Kinfra Film and Video Park, Kazhakutta, Thiruvananthapuram with modern facilities. Designing and printing of Newspaper Printing, Magazine, Posters, Calendars, Diaries, Brochures, are the main activities of the firm. In the opening ceremony, CPI State Secretary Kanam Rajendran will perform the switch on function. Opposition leader V. D. Satishan will be the special guest. Eminent persons including many ministers will deliver felicitation speech on the occasion.
